88 days

When we packed our stuff back in March we had no idea that it would be 88 days before we would see it again. In the meantime God was so good to us. The homeowners left us two outdoor tables and chairs. So we bought table clothes and brought it inside so we had a dining table. Through the compassion of a fellow Navy wife, whom I had never met, she heard about us needing a crib for our baby and allowed us to borrow one. We ate off paper plates and plastic silverware. Our family donated air mattresses and blankets. Ethan settled into school and even got into the one open spot for the Spanish emersion program. Lauralei happened to get a spot in preschool also. So we bought and closed on our house in only a week and accomplished an international move in only 2 weeks. Some would say we were lucky.

We would say you obviously don't know our God, He is awesome. "Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us." (Ephesians 3:20) We have had so many impossible circumstances thrown our way in the last 4 years where there seems no way out. People have wondered how we get through and always we come out on top better than anyone could have hoped for or even seen. This is no credit to us, just our faith in a God who loves us and continues to amaze us with everything he does and gives to us.

As we sit here amongst the boxes trying to unpack and arrange things. It seems a bit chaotic but our hearts and souls are grounded in love. We have each other, we have God, we have our health, and finally we have our "stuff!"
