*Not pictured is Mae, our first neighbor at our first house ever, and whitnessed our first two kids being born. Met her and family in WA and spent 3 years together. Also Anita and family we met in Naples, Italy and spent 2 years together.*
For the first time in over 8 years, since Ethan was born, Chris and I went away together without the kids. His big sister Kathi, and her kids, came to watch our crew for a week while we were gone. I have to say that Chris was working and we didn't get to spend much time together, so a real vacation is a must sometime in the future. But, I had a great time. I saw families that we've met in different duty stations throughout the world over the past 10 years all in one place. The beauty of the Navy is that you usually come back around to the people you say goodbye to at some point, somewhere. I am thankful for these relationships and this time to catch up on our lives since moving away. I am also very thankful for our family that kept the little ones happy, entertained, and even cleaned my house so I could make the transition back home easier! Yeah for living close to family, finally! And yeah to our "family" that the Navy has given us!
